DC Elite Pizza

A club for wood-fired pizza enthusiasts in the National Capital area

Most club members agree that the best Neapolitan pizza

in the Washington area can be had at 2 Amys in Glover Park,

     near the National Cathedral.

Not only is the pizza superb, but the restaurant cures its own

meats and offers a wide range of perfectly executed salads,

appetizers and desserts. Service and atmosphere are terrific

     as well.

Of course, there’s more pizza worth eating in and around Washington.

RedRocks Firebricks Pizzeria in Columbia Heights turns out a respectable Neapolitan-style pie, as does pie-tanza

in Arlington and Falls Church.

Flippin’ Pizza makes an authentic and very tasty New York-style pizza at

several locations in the Virginia suburbs.

And, believe it or not, Costco (!) serves

a surprisingly terrific 18” pie of indeterminate heritage for as little as $9.95. Eat it hot if you can.
